ASRY CEO Dr Ahmed Al Abri congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and Lt-General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander, and Secretary-General of the Supreme Defence Council, on the successful launch of the Al Munther satellite, designed and built locally by Bahraini youth.

Dr Al Abri described the launch as a milestone in Bahrain’s growing track record of achievements, highlighting the Kingdom’s efforts to empower young talent and integrate them as key partners in national development. ‘Bahrain has secured its leading position in a prominent manner by supporting and empowering its young minds, ensuring they play a strategic role in advancing the kingdom’s sustainable future.’

‘The Kingdom has long embraced cutting-edge technology, and today, it has joined the ranks of countries investing in space technology by continuously backing scientific research and innovation,’ he added.

He also emphasized that localizing space technology and developing national expertise holds great promise for the growth of Bahraini youth. “Our young minds have already demonstrated their excellence on the global stage. This is a step toward building a skilled generation, and I take immense pride in these exceptional individuals who are driving Bahrain’s future forward”.
