ASRY Hosts Bahrain Sports Day at Headquarters

The Arab Shipbuilding and Repair Yard (ASRY) marked Bahrain Sports Day with a full programme of activities at its headquarters, following the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister. The event was held on Thursday, 20 February, as part of the annual initiative to encourage physical activity across the Kingdom.

ASRY put together a varied mix of activities, from walking sessions and fitness challenges to team-based games. The day also featured health talks and medical check-ups, with Al Hilal Hospital’s team on hand to offer health screenings.

The event drew strong participation from ASRY employees and members, aiming to reinforce the importance of sports in daily life and its positive effects on both individuals and society. It also encouraged an active and healthy way of living, supporting overall well-being and strengthening community ties.

ASRY employees welcomed the company’s efforts in backing Bahrain Sports Day and putting its goals into action by organizing activities that encourage regular exercise as a lifestyle choice.

Commenting on the initiative, ASRY’s Corporate Communications Manager Fatema Al Majed said: ‘This initiative affirms ASRY’s dedication to supporting Bahrain’s vision of building a stronger sporting culture, which plays a key role in personal and social development. It also shows the company’s ongoing work to create an environment that promotes sports as part of a healthy way of life, contributing to the creation of a well-rounded, physically, and mentally healthy society.’
